Sams Workspace
This is my little Point and Click Adventure for you - about me, my workplace, and a project or two of mine
Simply click on a few objects that you find interesting.

WD-6

WD-Power!
What? No, not the spray - I mean the tractor... WD-6!
You don't know it?
Well - I didn't know it either until I had to create my first official 3D model for university.
It had to be something special - so I came up with this tractor with a sail - I'm still a fan.
Mystery Forest VR

Mystery Forest VR is by far the largest project I've worked on so far.
I started the project on my own and eventually brought in my brother-in-law.
The well over 60,000 downloads that our passion project has achieved so far show us that we mustn't give up - and we won't anytime soon.
Take a look for yourself on SideQuest:
https://sidequestvr.com/app/856/mystery-forest-vr
"Explore a shattered world of floating islands as you gather resources, hunt for food, and defend your home against challenging enemies.
With a 100% physics-based interaction system, dynamic climbing, and intense mechanics, this VR game pushes your survival skills to the limit.
Uncover the secrets of the Mystery Forest, craft tools and weapons, and prepare to face the unknown. Can you survive?"
Double Axe Games

"Double Axe Games" - the name under which we market our little VR game...
Somewhere around here, it should be floating... Just keep looking!
By the way, the axes are actually in the game - aaand fun fact: the model here is really sitting on my desk...
Prototypes

A Mech - Hell Yeah!
What's cooler than that?
Sure, a few other things... But these are pretty awesome - in my opinion.
But what's the deal with this model here?
Prototypes! I love creating prototypes - playable ones, of course.
Check out this link - it takes you to a mix of prototypes that I built just for fun and some for university:
Game Boy Classic Nostalgia

Okay, this has nothing to do with my studies, but the Game Boy (in a see through case) here still sits on my desk, and every now and then, I still use it.
Pokemon Yellow - the one and only! (We didn't have that much choice back then either)
I hope my big brother doesn't see this - technically, it's his Ö_Ö
Empathy

My most recent prototype - the little Robot Empathy.
"Empathy" is an immersive puzzle-adventure game that invites players into the thought-provoking journey of a unique robot, Empathy. As players navigate various levels, they explore profound questions and dilemmas. The game unfolds as Empathy grapples with self-discovery, societal norms, resilience, and the essence of existence.
Behind this link is a collection of some of my prototypes - Empathy included:
The AI-Narrator from elevenlabs really is a gem - check them out as well!
elevenlabs.io
My first Mech

Have you ever seen "Love, Death & Robots"?
In the first season, there is an episode called "Suits" - this mech is inspired by it and actually my first modeled mech ever.
Spaceship Shooter

I modeled a spaceship and then built a prototype for Android phones.
Sounds simple? Maybe - It never got finished - but feel free to check it out anyways.
It's a kind of wave shooter in side-scrolling style.
My first Spaceship

This is the first spaceship I've ever modeled.
Nevertheless, I've used it from time to time in small projects - just a handy little thing - and kind of cute, I think.
Hard to see generator

Okay, I admit... Hard to recognize, right?
But in the project, you can see it better - I promise! (Its not even in there - I just checked! grrrr)
What project, you ask?
It was about a walking simulator in parallel worlds, with the requirement to use a maximum of 20 different assets (at least as far as I can remember) and to build one world in two different engines, differing only in 5 assets but being completely different.
Quite intriguing, isn't it?
I chose Unreal 4 and Unity for this project - it was set in a post-apocalyptic setting.
But I also decided on a catch:
Technically, you would have to open both projects one after another since two engines can't be linked. Instead, I made it so that the player only has to open the Unreal project. Upon doing so, Unreal itself opens the Unity game, places it in the foreground while pausing itself. Once the Unity sequence is completed, Unity closes itself. Unreal notices this and starts the parallel world - I was quite proud of that...
I believe, though, that the instructor never really launched the project - oh well... I got the 1.0 grade out of it and some experience.
Whether everything still works? Check it out:
Oh, and if you ever want to hear my little brother, press spacebar.
Mecha Foots
Have you seen any of the other mechs?
Maybe - right?
Well, this one is just legs - never skipped leg day I guess.
Anyway, it was a prop for a teaser we did in university.
Its now kind of old, but maybe still funny to watch... decide by yourself:

Black Blanket

Did you ever hear the tragedy of Dark Blanket The Warm? I thought not. It’s not a story the Freezing would tell you.
Well - the blanket is there - it needs a text - its here in real life as well - dont know what else to say.
Contact

Oh hey!
You found my phone!
Thanks - just text me if you want to collaborate with me!
Lamp

Oh no, it's got dents? Ugh, did it get in a fight with a blender? (you know... because I used Blender for this)
Maybe it's because it was my first 3D model, completely created without a tutorial or any other form of help - and surprisingly, it doesn't look half bad....
So, the thing was right in front of me in real life - just like it is now, but still - one of the humble beginnings of my gaming career!
Table

That's pretty much my table - I built it myself.
Planned in Blender, executed in real life.
It's a real beast, with plenty of extras included - I love it.
Trash

I admit it - sometimes I produce garbage.
Ever heard of trash talk?
Sorry..
Bob
That's my little helper - Bob.
He always comes to the rescue when I forget to pay attention to dimensions in Blender.
Bob is 1.80m tall, and he's pretty good at figuring out when he fits through doors.
Bob is helpful. Very
Hook
This hook belongs to the little Robot down there.
Factory Robot
This factory robot with the cute, super sharp, super fast-spinning blade stands in one of the factories of the little orange robot Empathy - check out his story!
Scifi Gate
There is no story behind this door.

U_U
Just another Spaceship
Well - how about you think about a story for this spaceship and submit it to me?
If you don't want to do that, blame others for not doing it - otherwise, something would have been added here already
PC
DONT PRESS IT!
I'VE NOT SAVED PROGRESS IN HOURS!
Keyboard
My little brother spilled some kind of juice on it, and now some keys won't go up correctly anymore.
I need a new one.
Fast.
Mouse
Please never ask me to model a mouse again - it's awful!
You can win this?
This is the codephrase - If you found it and tell me, you won: "Whats the Codephrase?"
Flying Ray

This Ray got some Mystery Forest History.
It got added and removed various times, in various versions.
In this version, its included.
Check it out, before we remove it again for no reason.
Headset Station
It's the station where the hotswap batteries for my wireless headset get charged - but where is the headset?
Rechargeable batteries
You should get some too.
RTX ON
Left Speaker

Actually, I didn't want to make the boxes clickable. I tried, but I really couldn't resist.
This inconsistency would have been too much for my game design heart - that's why you had to wade through this text now.
Just because I felt that not inserting any text at all, instead of something meaningless, wasn't a genuine option.
Right Speaker

Now, imagine if I hadn't made this speaker clickable, but the left speaker clickable - the emotional turmoil it would cause after the other text might be worth it!
But you can already tell - you're reading another text that only exists because I just can't help but describe the object once again...
Well, I can probably save myself the effort anyway - people always find something that doesn't quite fit their frame of mind.
Wooden Chair

This wooden chair is also among the first few objects I ever modeled - if you take a look at the mesh, you can probably see that quite well.
We're talking about a chair with an incredible face count of 13,714 faces.
Where the hell did I hide them all?
